This is a great idea. College students that can hardly afford to feed themselves and typically live in apartments with multiple roommates should adopt as many dogs as they can.
Are you sure you go to college? Because last time I checked there were thousands of students who own animals. And please, the percentage of actual starving students is hardly concerning, since 70% of the student body is either on scholarships or loans. Or have their parents paying for everything.
I'm really sorry that something awful must have happened in your day to compel you to be such a dick on the INTERWEBS (the most important place of all!!), but I hope you successfully got it out of your system and can now continue being a productive member of society.
Sorry my post, which clearly is meant for people either looking for animals or with friends/family in the area, upset you so much. I guess you're right, it's not half as interesting as the 20 previous posts by one person about women's studies.
I'm impressed by the your knowledge of statistics concerning not only the amount of students at Ball State that own animals but also the percentage of the student body that does not pay for school.
You are right, student's that can't afford to pay for college on their own and must use loans should adopt a dog. As somebody that is involved with an animal shelter I'm sure you are aware that when bills pile up the first thing to go is usually the animal, and a lot of these animals end up abandoned. It just seems more cruel to me to put an animal through that than the alternative.
But sure, if you think the Ball State community is the best place to pawn off animals 2.5 hours away feel free to post here. Just be aware that some people disagree that this is the best thing for the animal.
