I would want to be a flea. Then I could be a worthless parasite and spread bubonic plague 24 hours a day, which is basically what I do now except for the part about bubonic plague. Yep, that would be THE LIFE.

I vote for Apis mellifera scutellata, the Africanized hybrid of the honey bee, because 1.) this choice fulfills your aforementioned hymenoptera preference, and 2.) this bee exhibits characteristics likely to come in handy when serving the public. For instance, the Africanized bee has a greater tendency to display defensive behaviors when provoked (for those rare occasions when the customer isn't always right), recruit other bees from the hive to attack (team building), and follow fleeing targets over greater distances and with greater tenacity (perfect in case there's a hold-up at the bank). Plus, it already has that great, media-frenzy-friendly "killer bee" nickname that will instantly endow you with the butched-up, hypermasculine street cred every budding bank teller needs. Good luck!
