All eight girls crowded around the package an awestruck delivery guy brought into their dorm one sunny morning.
It was a rather simple medium-sized box covered by a fancy paper of faint purple tied up with a white ribbon. There’s nothing really outstanding of the gift’s appearance but the girls find it highly interesting that the present is intended for Sooyoung.
“YAH! Open it up!” Yuri ordered.
“It’s just something my mom sent me. Probably a late birthday present.” Sooyoung answered uninterestedly.
“What a super late birthday present! Skip the speech and just open the damn thing.”
“What’s it with you anyway?” the tall girl demanded but she opened it just the same.
She pried open the box; purple wrapper and white ribbon falling freely on the floor. And then a wave of silence fell upon the room.
“You should forgive him already, Soo.” Taeyeon’s voice broke the still air.
Sooyoung said nothing. Her hands still holding the box. She gave out a sigh, after what seemed like forever, and answered quietly.
“I’ve already forgiven him.”
She then stood up and stalled away from the scene. “Is the food ready? I’m already starving!”
The eight girls merely looked at the retreating shikshin before looking at each other helplessly.
“She has forgiven him alright. But she hasn’t forgotten.” Jessica concluded with a cheerless sigh. She then stood up to follow her friend.
The other girls quietly leave the scene one by one, leaving the box filled with thousand colorful paper cranes and Kyuhyun’s sorry letter to the wind.

“It’s not one of my favorite songs but somehow I’ve taken a liking into it. I listened to it the other night and I realized how powerful the lyrics are.”
Sunny stopped changing channels when she heard the voice (and saw the usual smirking face accompanying it) on a late night talk show. The short girl propped herself comfortably on the sofa while munching on the hamburger as she turned the volume a bit louder.
The music started and Sunny forgot the food she was holding upon realizing the song playing: She’s Gone. Her eyes transfixed on the screen as Super Junior’s maknae belted his heart out on the song.

Sunny was never clueless of how wonderful Kyuhyun’s voice is but she has never seen him sing with this much emotion. The smirk was gone and his eyes, serenely closed. Even the audience seemed engrossed. It’s as if the world has gone and the only person left is this broken hearted boy crying his soul through a song.

The song ended and the audience broke out into a thunderous applause. The tall boy gave a curt bow and smiled bashfully as he said his thanks. The camera then focused back on the host but not before Sunny caught a glimpse of Kyuhyun with his back turned away from the camera while wiping something from his eyes.
She turned around when she heard a door clicked close. She scanned the room and her eyes fell on the door to Sooyoung and Jessica’s room.
Hot tears streamed down her cheeks as she shifted her attention back on the TV. She understands what Kyuhyun is feeling but she has also stand witness of the time when her dear dongsaeng suffered.
She wiped the tears away and took a bite of her hamburger. Her sympathy goes out to the forlorn boy but somehow she feels that it is too late.

“Noona, someone wants to give you this.”
Sooyoung stopped walking and looked at the scene in front of her. It was a little boy with innocent eyes and cute cheeks carrying a bouquet of flowers so big it was almost hiding his adorable face. She mumbled her thanks, gave the kid a kiss before patting his head. The child beamed brightly and gave a curt bow before running away.
She stared at the flowers in her hands, tugged the card pasted on the wrap and read it silently before giving out an exasperated sigh. She walked right, opposite the way to the practice room, spots the thing she was looking for, and dumped the card in it.
“Excuse me oppa, can you give this to Boa-unnie? Tell her a fan sent it.” Sooyoung politely asked a passing SME employee.
The poor guy stammered in agreement; obviously dumbfounded and still trying to digest the fact that SNSD’s Choi Sooyoung actually talked to him and called him oppa. Not to mention he’d get to personally talk with BoA later.
He was walking in a daze like a demented douchebag when Sooyoung left him. His head was still up in the clouds that he didn’t notice a tall, wavy-haired boy pass by him. The boy walked slowly towards the lone wastebasket and picked up the card a certain long-legged girl threw a few minutes ago.
He leaned on the wall and stared at the card for what seemed like ages.
He remembered the look on her face when she read the message. There's no hint of sadness, or anger, or anything. Just plain simple indifference.
And god, how that look broke his heart.
So there in the midst of one of SME’s deserted lobbies, he slid down with his back still on the wall. Face arranged in a painful expression, the card lying on the floor as it fell out of his grasp.
Later that day, a puzzled maintenance man would pick out the crumpled piece of paper and read it aloud.
“Mianhae”
He would shake his head nonchalantly, whistle a happy tune, and throw it back in the wastebasket just like he would on any other trash.
