Hey Andy, this is Diane. I just happened to click on your LJ link in your profile and was so excited to see you talking about the 4400. I just discovered the show last week when they had a marathon on and I sortof became obsessed even though I'm not one to normally watch sci-fi shows. Anyway, I had a point here. Your discussion of maintaining child characters ignored the fact that the baby Isabelle goes from being a baby to a 20 year old woman intantaneously. I know this is a special circumstance, but it is also an extreme case of what you were talking about. (and please don't call Caitlin Cooper hot. I hate her.) Oh, and I like the music on the 4400. I think my only complaint is that their special effects are often quite pathetic. And I am in love with Tom Baldwin. OK, that's it. I just didn't get a chance to talk to anyone about this show since I don't know anyone else who watched it. I hope you're having a good summer! :)

Yes, I didn't really feel the need to expound on Isabelle because she is indeed an extremely exceptional case.

And in regards to the music, I actually meant to talk about it a bit more. I really like the music that they play for the opening and closing credits, it lends the show I nice mood. I was talking about the music that is present in the real meat of the show. It's really jarring when it suddenly switches over to what sounds like one guy on a synth.
