Today has been the first day since school let out (minus last friday when i went to the blackburn trumpet factory...expensive horns that run about $4000 a piece...wow) that i haven't been at school. Youth orch banquet tonight. we all got an individual award, and mine was the mr smith award: band director in training. that's cool. i also got the mvp band award. so yay. and i'm actually not quitting youth orch. i figure since i need to learn c trumpet stuff, it would give me a good opportunty to practice with easy music ( Read more... )

Band concert last thursday night....i sucked hard but the band sounded good. totally and completly bombed in brass machine. damn me not having an invincible face!!! elegy went over well, even though i screwed up on that solo too. No more play's!!! Tonight was north's last night and it was actually really good. Mr smith got hyper and did his bird thing in one of the scenes and had the whold place laughing. good stuff

Just got home from the last dress rehersal at tc. play's actually pretty good and i'm not lost considering i'm the only non professional player in the pit. so yay.
