I haven't had the chance yet, but I'm planning on it. If I don't get a chance this week, I'll definitely have a day of fic gluttony sometime over winter break. Yes, I'm supposed to be reading Frankenstein and a novella in German, but I'll make it work. :)

I don't think I've read any of norringtonsez's work, actually. I'll be sure to put that on my list.

We should stage a friending ambush on queenteek. She's a lurker over at pirategasm, and she's only got like eight friends. More of the world must share in the wonderment of a girl who is willing to pour cooking supplies on herself in the name of fanfiction. :D

A ... friending ambush? Oh dear. I might actually have conversations with in LiveJournal that aren't with myself or the Gods that continually take over my house. *grins*

*clears throat* Pouring cooking supplies on myself aren't all I've done for the sake of fanfiction and accuracy, but it's the first I've really talked about. I think I'd scare people if I told them I lived on my Uncles boat for a month after seeing PotC the first time (saw it ten times after that...), drinking whatever alcohol worked, trying to get into Jack's head...

I'm so jealous that you were able to stay on a boat for a month for the sake of research! Well, jealous in spirit, anyway -- I get dreadfully seasick, especially on small vessels. I went out boating on a lake this past summer, and I had wanted to go stand up on the highest part of the boat and do my best Jack impression, and put on lots of eyeliner so I wouldn't need sunglasses, but I was so ill that it was the best I could do to crouch in the middle of the floor and try not to vomit. I really am the worst pirate I've ever seen.

Have you seen "the man who cried"? It's got Johnny Depp and Christian Ricci in it. He dosen't talk much, but he rids a horse, and that always makes me happy. :)

Hmm ... no, I haven't, but I've glanced it in passing at the video store and thought, "ooh, pretty men with horses." Thanks! I'll have to check that out. :)
