Via WirelessAMBERAlerts.org, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is offering to send a free text message to your wireless device any time an AMBER alert is issued within the five zip codes you specify. If you have a Mac, you should check out dead.licious, a little desktop application that searches through your del.icio.us bookmarks for dead links and then shows them to you. It said I'd be able to edit the bookmarks through the app, and I couldn't, but it was still really easy then just to search my del.icio.us for the faulty bookmarks and put in ( Read more... ) -

The Navy is investigating the well-established reports of a massacre of 15+ Iraqi civilians in Haditha by Marines back in November.
And now there are reports of another massacre -- eleven civilians, including four children and a baby -- in Balad on Wednesday.
