'tis days like this that I'm glad I'm an Aussie. The American system confuses the hell out of me (and amuses the hell out of me at he same time).

LOL! That icon wins! :D

With me, it's not so much confusion as frustration. ^__^;;

LOL! Glad you like the icon (I've been fiddling with variations of that one for ages)

I've had people try to sit down and explain to me how the American political system works and I just.... don't get it. *HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGS* for your frustration.

*huuuugssss back* Thanks, I needed that hug. I'm even more frustrated with the 'lipstick on a pig' controversy/feeding frenzy that's going on in the media today. >( Methinks I should take a break from reading about politics for a couple of days.

*grin* What part of it gives you the most trouble?

*sighs with you* You know, I haven't been this riled up in a long time. I'm usually independent and try to keep an open mind until after the debates, but the blatant unfairness and hypocrisy has clinched the decision for me.

...Fox News. *eyeroll* They're The Onion of the Television world, only no one realizes they're joking...

When I first saw this, I though... "Really? That was the best you could come up with?"

Of course, it worked...

This doesn't surprise me a bit. Yet driving down the road, all I see are McCain Palin yard signs posted everywhere. One lunatic had 6. I can't begin to count the bumper stickers I see.

To date, I've seen one Obama sign, one bumper sticker, and one Ron Paul bumper sticker. I hope the Madison (a very liberal city) vote offsets the fuckwittery of Milwaukee, because Milwaukee is just bending over for McCain.

It might make you feel better to know that the county I live in, which went overwhelmingly to the Republicans in the 2004 election, is now full of Obama/Biden signs and bumper stickers. :) I haven't seen one McCain sign in any yard in my neighborhood, which totally went for Bush/Cheney last time.

Obviously, there's been a very steep learning curve since the last election. >;)

The human stupidity always is an excellent source for my inspiration. ^_^ (Oh my, I'm getting snotty here!)

Lol, but you speak the truth. It's amazing how idiotic people can act. (By that, I don't mean let's have fun being silly idiotic, but ignorant and offensive idiotic.)

*glomps icon* Thank you! :D
