computer back!
So my crashed computer came back today. At first I was really upset, because the my WiFi didn't work, and the reason I bought this computer was so that I could have a wireless connection to my TV. Endor Leia
So this weekend I've really started on the Endor Leia. I'm hoping to have the briefing version of the costume done for the sci-fi con first weekend in December. I decided to go go for the Leia instead of the trooper because I feel that eventhough Leia involves more sewing that's something I have control over, I know how to do it and how much time ( Read more... ) -
back from London
I've had a great time in London and am now catching up. The SW news of the week has me totally in a roller coaster when it come to my feelings for it. I need to give it some time to land.

Home again
I'm home again and is slowly adjusting to another time zone again. The trip was a blast, eventhough the travel portions were really up and down. I managed to get really good seats all the way, but I also spent 7 hours in Chicago due to a mixup with my flight reservation and when I landed in Frankfurt on my way home there was a strike which meant ( Read more... ) -
It's so fluffy!
So it's now August, so my self-imposed break in sewing is over. Now the coming two weeks I'm going to do some smaller updates for my CVI costumes.
I've started with a new petticoat for the cancan trooper. This one weighs a fraction what the original does, but it's still big. I miscalculated my ruffles and ended up with around 1/3 more ruffles than I ( Read more... ) -

Ok, I think I seriously need to invest in an Italian dictionary. I mean two weeks ago I had to speak italian in the mine, and now a friend to the family has started sending messages to me in Italian. So I didn't start working until 12 today, since I was going to do the evening tour which means working until 21.30. Normally I don't work evenings or weekends, but I feel that if I'm going to be a good manager I need to do at least one of every working pass that we have for our summer workers. 18th century costume is done!
So this weekend I ran around in my new outfits, and it was great. I was a bit worried that the other costumers would be too much like costume nazis, that has been my experience with reenactors, but everyone were really nice.
