i made a resolution yesterday and feel strong in my stance that taking a year off before medical school would be good. and healthy. and fun most likely. i'm going to be on the lookout for some cool research projects to take on plus a job working in the OR

I just felt like saying that. A year off sounds like a good idea, for mental health if nothing else.

i like your rule of thumb. AND, duh, you should definitely take a year off and come have ridiculous amount of fun in portland!!!!!!!!!
