So I have this fig tree. And at first it wasn't a hassle picking figs. There really weren't that many that had ripened... until now that is ( Read more... )

I'm guessing you're not using the fig leaves for anything?

As dry as the weather's been I'm not sure the leaves would taste good. And umm.. they're just not large enough to cover my tits and ass. *giggles wickedly*

The birds here are eating the figs off the tree,so don't have to pick them!
I only like fig in fig newtons :)

Yeah the birds do tend to love them. What I can't get over is how they peck at them a bit and then leave them. So there's lots of fig bits in the dirt and hanging on the tree.

Are they dried? As in, ready to eat? If they are, put some in a plastic bag, box 'em up and mail 'em to me (will send real-world addy if you think you might actually do this). 'Cause drox likes dried figs.

In return, I can send you jars of yummy clover honey (assuming you want honey) as I have more than I know what to do with right now. Does this work for you?

Love honey. I buy a lot from this roadside guy that keeps bees. *grin* This jasmine and clover honeys were delicious...

And umm.. I don't even know how to dry figs. I only know how to make jam, preserves, fig newtons, and umm.. this proschuto dish with figs and goats cheese. Pretty good that.

If its pretty simple to dry them I'll be glad to send you some.

Throw them at any Jehovah's Witnesses who drop by?

Hurl them at people while you're stopped at traffic lights?

Stomp on them and make fig wine?

*runs away*

Ok I've had most of those ideas...

but errr fig wine? That just sounds nasty. Although with the sugar content I'm sure they'd firment well. There's an idea, but it could potentially waste a whole batch of home brew beer...
