I am so saddened to hear this. I wasn't close to Susan, more a fellow traveler/reader, but she was always so kind to me, especially when I was dealing with my grief about my mother. I pray your family will be able to go on with peace and joy. Thank you for posting to let us know.
It's strange ... you don't know me at all, but I feel that I know you at least slightly, or I know what she knew of you and shared with those of us who enjoyed hearing about her life.
I'm so sorry to hear this and am keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Sue was such a thoughtful person and though we didn't talk much she was always so kind to me. I enjoyed reading her posts - about writing, about The X-Files and of course about her family, and I'll really miss her.
Thanks so much for letting us know. It couldn't have been easy. She spoke of you sometimes, always with respect and love.
I can't even begin to tell you how this affects me. I had, have, unlimited respect for Susan, as a writer, a photographer and a person. She was warm and generous. I loved her -- I know, she and I never met. It didn't matter.
I didn't know your mother except as "Bardsmaid", through her X Files commentary and her stories. In fact, I just finished reading "Sanctuary" a few days ago, and was checking on the progress of "Topaz".
I am so sorry for your loss and hope that the evidence of how much she was respected and loved in the XF community is a comfort in your time of sorrow.
