Today is just a really crappy day.  Its kinda cold out again, my cat is in a really bratty mood, and I've gotten hit with a really icky case of the lonelies.  It really sucks......it sucks REALLY bad because 99% of my friends are so far away ( Read more... )

This has been one hell of a year for me so far. 

• I was engaged, then I wasn't. 
• I was stuck in a crappy-ass job, and now I love even THINKING about going to work...practically salivating when I think of the possibility of overtime. 
• I didn't know ASL from AOL, and now I can carry on decent conversations with some of the local Deaf folk if I wish.

Well....I've been a certified EMT for a year and 4 days.

I've worked with a LOT of patients this past year.

The day before yesterday, I lost my first patient.

There were 5 paramedics and 2 EMTs working on this guy, and we just couldn't get him back...

Yesterday, I got an email and a phone call from my supervisor, asking if I was okay.....

I watched the "ER Retrospective" just beforehand....

and cried like a baby....

I've been a loyal fan for the past 15 years (so I was 12 when it first came on the air)...

Looks like I'm going to have to go get all 15 seasons after all....
