So I pre-ordered Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows back in February. Via the UPS tracking information site, my package left Hodgkins, IL yesterday, arrived in Chicago yesterday, arrived in Davenport in the wee hours of the morning today, and at 6:22AM "THE RECEIVER REQUESTED A HOLD FOR A FUTURE DELIVERY DATE. Here's the problem, ALL of the books are being shipped by UPS but SOME are being delivered by the POST OFFICE. We've delivered a shit-ton of books to the post office for delivery this morning. So when our UPS guy scans the delivery at the post office it will show on UPS.com that it was delivered......then your mail carrier will bring it to you today. It could also have been mis-scanned. There's a lot of pressure for us to do this right, so hang around your house today....it should arrive no problem!

I did email the UPS help center, and that's pretty much what they said. I just hate that our mailman has such a span of when he gets here (I've gotten mail as early as 1:45 and as late as 5). I'm sure I'll get it; I just wish I could get it sooner. lol

but at least you're getting a copy right!? i read the book a few days ago and it is still as every bit as awesome as awesome can be! it'll be worth it! in the meantime, kick some ass with karate!
