I've joined a local RC club and now have a place to fly again. Not a big field, but way better than nothing. Hooray!

Yep, started a few weeks ago. Big machines moving the dirt around. They've made 2 big mounds of dirt and scraped away all the grass. No idea what's going in, but I won't like it.

And more bad news, my smaller backup field is going the same way. Now I don't know where I'll go to fly my model airplanes. Grrr.

Just something to show some activity.

While passing by a local business block, I spotted a large dumpster with the end open sitting in the parking lot. Me not being above a bit of dumpster diving, I took a look inside. I found a large pile of fluorescent light fixtures. Not the older fat bulb style, but the newer style with the skinny, brighter bulbs with the bulbs still in them. It ( Read more... )

I've now got Cable Internet again, though limited. I can actually participate again. Yay!

Just a general update. Getting the garage cleaned up to where I can actually do some woodworking in there.

Geez, I knew it had been a while, but 2 years? Man. Got to catch up on things.

Keeping my account active. Just heard my recorded voice for the first time in 20+ years. Geez, I sound weird these days. I know you never sound quite like what you hear in your head, but I'm much further off than I used to be.

That's pretty much it for this one.
