I don't think it's stated, and if a material or garment would be health-code-safe otherwise, it ought to be fine. My forearm tattoo was covered with an ACE bandage for months when it was too hot to wear long sleeves. Maybe he could try to snag a roll of that self-adhering medical 'tape' that blood drives use...it kind of looks like crepe paper, comes in different colors, and would be perfectly acceptable to cover an actual medical issue.

I'd like to ask that DM to show the written rule that calls arm bands a health code violation. Seriously.

I thought per uniform code we were allowed 1 ring, 2 earrings and 1 wrist thing?? Then again, I often wear 2-3 bracelets, a ring, 2 piercings in each ear AND necklaces (because I am fabulous) and nobody cares, so that is kind of awesome.

AND I have seen a lot of people buy underarmor and kind of cut/modify them so like they'll have one long sleeve to cover up tattoos etc & so the shirts aren't too hot. Maybe that's a good idea to do?

(customer here) i frequently see starbucks employees wearing the sweat bands on their wrists to cover up a wrist tattoo. including a few ASM's.

i also agree with above. your DM sounds like she's on a power trip. and thats never fun. :(

If they were a health code violation, Starbucks wouldn't have sent them to us and encouraged us to wear them. Tell your DM to get off her high horse.
