$3.85/gallon here. I saw ONE Shell at $3.95, which made me want to do all sorts of violent things.

I'm lucky in that I only need to fill up the tank about once a month. But it REALLY should not be like this, how the hell did we GET this awful, and why can't we do anything about it?! It's not a riot as much as it is a one-woman-implosion, that feeling of violence that welled up inside me.

I ride the bus a lot, which is free for Cal students. And I have a beautiful Fair Lady that I need to grease up and go, but the dog doesn't fit so well on that ride.

This is when diesel ceases to be quite as fun-- $4/gal here, and we have CHEAP gas prices (reg. unleaded is $3.15 or so...) Bikes are in order-- greenville is a horrible to city for using bike as regular transit (although a great mountain-biking city, from what I have heard), but Athens is a great bike city. Time to sell the crappy focus and get some bikes (ok, and a station wagon or something... mainly just time to sell the focus)...

OOps, switched topics without warning or transition... The VW is one that costs a lot to fill up, 'cause it's diesel, and even though diesel is expensive, it's still cheaper to operate than the crappy focus, which will be sold at some point soon. :)
