Feel like I am getting back in touch with an old friend. The kind that it doesn't matter we haven't talked in years- we are just as close as we used to be. Curled up with my oatmeal and coffee and read all the new entries. Not going to lie, I may scroll all the way back and start at the beginning. Happy your're back!

I totally did that - reread the whole thing from the beginning. It was like rereading a great book and I had forgotten just how great it was.

Great post, Debra. I've been following you (quietly) since you first started blogging. :) I've always wondered, how are you able to remember conversations with such detail? Do you have eidetic memory, or is this clarity something you've developed and honed through the years?

Thank you, and I'm glad you're still following!

I definitely don't have eidetic memory, and I'm sure some of the people in these conversations would dispute the level of accuracy with which I'm remembering them. Honestly, I just do my best to remember the substance of the conversations and how they felt, and if I don't get the wording exactly right, at the very least I hope I captured the essence.

There's no question that I got better at it during the years I was first blogging, since I knew any conversation might end up being important enough to memorialize here. But during the off years, I wasn't focusing on that as much because I wasn't sure I'd ever return.
