Writer's Block: Thanks for the Input
Upon having a crisis of faith concerning a new career:
"Well, if you can't do it, you can't do it. Don't believe when they say you can be anything you want to be because you can't."

Goal: First act redrafted by the end of this week.
In a rough shape, at least. I'm less concerned with crappy dialogue; what I want to have is the general sequence of scenes and events. Watching Sea of Love (which is a pretty neat film, by the way) really helped.
Having a quiet working space with no internet access helps perhaps even more... -
When will I ever make any money?
Surely that's the question every budding screenwriter must ask themselves somewhere along the way... many, many times over.
For all the hours and emotions you put in the return seems very far-off and very unsure... but we do it anyway. Thanks to faith, perhaps. Or a big ego. Whichever feels more comfortable. -
Disrupted!
This past week has been completely disrupted due to graduation/guests, but I have managed to organize a working schedule and done more research into festivals, guilds and general opportunities.
Seriously need to be upping my game! Goal is a new treatment finished by Friday so proper rewrites can begin.

Progress: Arches Draft 4
Today's workload: 2/5 Character questionnaires completed, 1/5 Bio completed.
Begun deeper research into Taoist virtues, begun treatment of redraft.
Plan to finish another character questionnaire and begin bio (antagonist.)
6 weeks to go to finish everything! But feeling confident. -

Jet lag/Move
No time to write with impending move and jetlag! Although the jetlag is being kept in check by extremely urgent need to pack. After the 10th things (and the return of WiFi) things should hopefully return to normal ( Read more... )
