That first class idea-Fortune and I have been batting around just that phrase as a schola event for a couple years now. We should talk.

(Unfortunately I can't quite figure out who you are, but I figure you must be Strangeways and hence okay ;) )

My goal with that particular class is to introduce those who might otherwise be scared off by a persona-focused class. I'd love to talk about ideas for a beginning persona schola, but they'd probably be a lot more in-depth than what I'm planning for that particular class idea!

I am! I suspect we're mostly looking for set-up and clean-up people, as those tend to be the hardest to find.

The weekend of August 24th. It's a camping event and the site is pretty rustic. But it's really quite lovely.

I love your class ideas! And I definitely want to pick your brains about these cooking questions; I have a lot of interest but not a lot of clue, and I am easily distracted by shiny things and other stuff that keeps me from actually sitting down and cooking.

(We cleaned and divested hard this weekend, and I rediscovered this lovely little stoneware pot that I remember buying expressly for transporting food in a more period manner...)

Also, somehow I thought that Crown was in the middle of October. Having it in the beginning of November makes me much more available to help. Also, I believe that I promised you inebriated songs the next time we went to the German Club.

I hope that as a not-really-a-cook I am coming at some of these questions from an angle that will make it accessible to a good majority of people, instead of just those who are already neck-deep in food culture.

I think that is a very sensible approach.

I am definitely interested in preparing people for Drunk Songs. I have plans. Some may be in Latin.
