Damn, that all looks & sounds so good! Period food is something I'm very slowly getting to learn, but I do most of it at home & simply reheat on site.

That is honestly what I usually end up doing, but I figured that since I didn't have anything else I *had* to do at the event, it would be a good opportunity to do a lot of things from scratch.
One of the things I'm trying to wrap my head around is that many people in the medieval era just didn't eat that much meat. I'm so used to animal protein being a cornerstone of my meals that spoilage is a huge concern...right up until I remember I can make an amazing pottage from things that take several days to "go bad" even in hot weather.

I just absolutely love that you're doing this at events. Everything looks beautiful and delicious, and it's obvious how much work you've put into it.
