I know nobody likes the serious stuff ;)

So yes I am the help desk today, hit me with your best questions. Heck I'll even turn anonymous posting on for those asking the "tough" questions. ;)

Between the braying of my co-irkers and the ringing of the phone I could really use the distraction.

Brought to you by Clontarf, the only Irish Whiskey that sounds like a Klingon!

Hmm... help!

Dear Ann Landers,
My new roommate is moving around a lot of my stuff. I am doing a few things to convenience her by making more space (since I did take up quite a bit), but she is making all of these changes to my stuff that is starting to piss me off. I have a huge tendency to be too passive aggressive when dealing with stuff that irritates me. What do I do?

Put all your stuff in tubs, if she moves the tubs it's no big deal to move it back, or to where ever you need it.

I'm assuming the real issue is you can't find things after she moves them.

If she is still irritating you don't let it fester or the explosion later will be out of proportion to the problem.

I am just frusterated that she's rearranging my things without my permission. Thank the gods I am still able to find what she has shifted.

Dear Help Desk,

What should I have for lunch today? (Sadly, the answer to this question is not "CLONTARF!" as I still have to go BACK to work afterward.)

Respectfully,

I would personally like a side of ribs for lunch, I really need to tear something apart.

Your mileage may vary.

Ooh...there's an Armadillo Willy's just around the corner, too.

Thanks, Help Desk! *smooches you saucily, in both senses of the word*

What is this Clontarf thing that everyone keeps referring to?

Clontarf single malt scotch is the smoothest whiskey it has ever been my pleasure to drink.

Traditionally anything less deep then the height of the person is considered shallow.

My chickens are always trying to get into the house. I feel badly, closing the door in their faces. Is there a polite way to discourage them from trying to come in?

They probably note that you emerge from there so they just want to visit.

Chickens are basically very stupid, they will not associate the slamming of the door in their faces with impoliteness.
