River I wrote in this two months ago that we were almost done winter, which just goes to show I can eat my words. Jay Peak last year was open until May 1st. We were hoping for a shorter, nicer winter, but this year they were open to May 2nd. We had a big party for River's birthday here at the house, after an enjoyable trip to Maine earlier in the week to see Portland and Acadia national park we returned home. Forth of july morning we were fairly abruptly woken up by nana knocking on the door, and saying that that breakfast was ready and it was now or never.
