Guess I am getting kind of behind. I guess I will start with the weather :). It has finally cooled off. Glorious. It has been in the mid 80's for this week. It has been really great. I had a long week-end. I had my grandchildren from friday noonish until sunday about 7:00 or there abouts. They were good kids, but I also had my sisters two kids (red heads) most of friday night and then most of saturday from 7a.m. until 9:30 saturday night. All in all I guess it went alright. It looks like I got a new car. I finally got my purple van running, it needs a tune up and new belts, other than that it seems to be working alright. Even though I have it running I guess I got my new car. We got in from my sister. It is a Toyota Sequoia. DVD player in the back seat, 6 track CD player, (as does the purple van). If I search my memories, I can't think of a better birthday. My family had flown in my youngest son, which is in Berkeley, home for my birthday. I didn't even realize it was him for a moment. Not a whole lot to add. I'll speak of the never changing weather. It was 108 today and tomorrow it is suppose to be 110, (Lord help me). We have been losing electricity every day. Today is my folks 61st wedding anniversary. I baked a 3 layer carrot cake. I only used 2 of the layers for the cake. The biggest and the smallest. There is not a lot of size difference in the layers. Took a little trip to Branson, Mo. Went to see Mickey Gilley. He put on a good show. Had tickets to Silver Dollar City, but gave them to my niece, whom lives about an hour away from Branson.
