Saturday I did some gardening around the house. I pruned off the parts of my oleanders that were killed in the severe cold snap we had several months ago. Unfortunately, I only had room in my garbage can for 4 of the 5 oleanders, so the last one will have to wait until next weekend after trash pickup. Last week I took Shadow to the vet for a checkup. She was a bit nervous, but surprisingly she didn't fight back when examined and poked with needles. Everything was fine with her health, except I was told she was a bit on the heavy side. She weighed 15 pounds, about 3 pounds over what the vet recommended. I tried vodka sauce once. It tasted like regular spaghetti sauce with some puke mixed in. I wound up throwing the rest of the jar away because it was so awful, and I am one of those persons who will eat almost anything and hates throwing food away.
