Aug 14, 2007 00:03

As previously noted, I spent a few hours Saturday at BarCampRDU. I hit six sessions and feel all were in some way valuable.

unconference, camping, ruby, advocacy, barcamp, web services, barcamprdu, technology, gtd

Contributions to a discussion should be permanent.

Agreed: I have been a member of a particular forum for the last three years. One of the most infuriating things to me about one of the other participants is that he would go through and delete his old posts, such as a flame war he had with another person on the forum, or sometimes just old infodumps he'd made. That wouldn't be quite as annoying as his habit of then referring to that now-half-vanished argument, or recycling the infodumps later. Not having a killfile available for a mambo/joomla-based board, I eventually started simply ignoring him.
