The Ticklish Generation it is! That sounds sorta pervy and lame at the same time. I like it.

You're right- it is a void in the generations, and I always felt left out by Gen X, even though I remember the music and have vivid memories associated with it, being one of those kids with older sibs. I also always feel disappointed by those compilations of music from eras because what I listened to, and what reminds me of those years, was not popular or played on top 40 radio.

That totally talk about that on the podcast. how what people remember as definitively era-shaping is sometimes not a commercial success in its time and how something medium popular in its time may end up having more longevity than expected and stay famous longer. Some people call us Generation XY cusp but that sounds pretty astrological to me.

This is very true. Whenever I go to an 80s night, it seems like the DJ is required to play "Come On Eileen". It was *barely* popular in the 80s, whereas the songs "Let's Go All the Way" by Sly Fox or "Something About You" by Level 42 were much bigger but never get played as much
