Somehow I managed this morning to get into a conversation about romantic love with my nearly-8-year-old.

Heather: They are chemicals in your body that control how you behave.
Heath: Like in your brain?
Heather: Yes.
Heath: So we're sort of robots? Except we're alive.

Tell me about it! I've been reading Blink, which is all about "priming" and I'm beginning to be pretty sure we have no free will at all.

I, for one, welcome our hormone-driven robot overlords.
