Thanks to everyone here who left supportive comments about my girl's cancer diagnosis a couple of weeks ago. I am sorry to report that she died this morning. I just found out from my mom a bit ago. She came into the house and just laid down and wasn't able to get up. My mom took her to the vet and the vet talked about taking her to a specialist but

I'm so sorry. I lost one Basset unexpectedly last year, and my remaining Basset is 14. It's heartbreaking.

i know how it feels to have your die from cancer. my chow/lab mix died from cancer. & one day it got to a point where he would only eat chicken & the last straw was when he couldn't get up. we had to put him to sleep. i made my mom cremate him & he sleeps next to me every night.
i hope everything turns out okay. its hard but your dog will always be in your heart.
