Actually, I posted the info on the same thread.

I don't actually have any kind of pull with these places, so that is honestly the best I can do.

I only answered half your question...whoops!
I'm currently stationed in San Diego, I just finished the painful 1.5 years of Navy-Nuke school. Originally from Pittsburgh. Can't wait to get out, though I'm pleased to have the experiance. I didn't realize how much i wanted to study music until I had all of my free time taken away from me.
I decided recently to pursue violin predominately over synth and guitar, and Most of my synth work from this point out will just be layers to place under the violin. I'm going to try to compose/produce a sort of string quartet trip album. But unfortunately i have little free time to pursue, so this work in progress will probably take a few years.

Wow, you sound just like me... Though I didn't go to Nuke school (I did pass the test, but lacked the "moral obligation"... whatever that means). Anyway, I'm glad I was an ET. It got me a good job in the real world.

I, too, failed to realize just how much music meant to me until I didn't have it anymore. I've been playing bass (upright and guitar) since I was 9. I'm now a music major. I'm fairly new to synths, but I can sequence alright. My keyboard skills are beginner, but I'm getting better at sight reading piano (I took a class).
