In the past month I've been promoted at work as my previous boss Chris is now preparing for courting contracts to do security work in Iraq. If he goes with the team he wants to, he'll be demolitions and heavy weapons or something like that. So now I'm in charge of security at this site. Exciting. I'm not even sure when I wrote last... today is Eva's birthday. Yesterday I took her out to the Bombay Cricket Club, and we had really tasty food and cocktails. The interesting part being she turns 21 today, so really they should have busted her. But she was extremely gorgeous, and perhaps they thought she was older. I have been to Southern California and returned. Friday night brimtoast and eliah drove me to the Portland Airport, where I caught a flight to Burbank, CA. I was met in baggage claim by various members of my family under the age of 15, who pounced me to the ground excitedly. I guess I'll update for August. It's been pretty lonely. The cats are helpful with that, but not very. The house is full of dead bugs. Some kind of small fruitfly like thingies.
