I love your writing style so much. The fact that it's Arthur doing the courting and that Eames knows how to knit are perfect and OMG I could go on forever. This entire fic makes me so happy :)
Thank you so much, love! The sequel will come around eventually, but considering this thing took almost five months to write, it'll probably be a while;)
Oh so happy to have the whole story, although I am also sad it is over.
Flirtatious merman Arthur + tongue-tied fisherman Eames + sharpteeth and lionfins + affection expressed through yarn selection equals the best fairytale ever.
I LOVE IIIIIIIIIIIIIT *spazzes out all over the place* *_______* <3<3<3<3<3 THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH HEARTS AND STARRY-EYED FACES IN THE WORLD TO EXPRESS THE STUPIDLY LARGE AMOUNTS OF LOVE I HAVE FOR THIS STORY Seriously, this is the fairy tale of my heart. <3
Ahhhhhh!!! You closed this off beautifully, and the whole thing has been an absolute delight from moment one. As I've said before, I love the quietude; I can hear the ocean sounds in my head. The picture you paint of the two of them out there is so vivid, I feel like I'm there with them. And EAMES KNITS SOCKS! In Arthur and Eames colours! It's like you went into my brain specifically to extract my weak spot.
I love how fierce and deadly Arthur is, and how his terms of endearments all have that vicious edge to them as a compliment. I love their interactions and their voices, and how Arthur thinks he's being really blatant about courting while actually being kind of oblivious to the fact that he's leaving pertinent information out about his cultural norms. And I love how oblivious Eames is; despite the fact that he's missing information, it's hard to mistake Arthur's affection.
And I love how it comes together in the end. A commitment, but very much in their style, and with clear differences to navigate, although they both appear
( ... )
Your comment makes me so happy! Arthur's vicious pet names are one of my very favorite parts about this, so I am glad other people like them as much as I do:)
I am glad you like the end so much! I wondered if it was excessively cheesy, but I like it a lot, so I posted it anyways.
Also, you are amazing for commenting on every single part of this, despite my failure at updating. This never would've been finished without you, so thank you for that, darling!
