The Exorcist. Too many scenes to single one out. We were inline waiting to go in to the second showing on the opening day when the crowd from the first show came out. A guy said to us "don't bother with popcorn." We wondered what that could mean. My girlfriend's boyfriend passed out cold at the needle in the neck part. I could not rewatch that movie for years. My kids say it's not scary at all. It certainly did it's job in 1973.

I have to say that I hate scary movies. One scene that I think is really scary is at the end of the movie Carrie. Amy Irving's character is at Carrie's grave and she's leaving flowers. The music that's playing is not scary at all and you think that since it's the end of the movie, nothing else will happen but then... Carrie's hand comes up from the grave and grabs her and she wakes up screaming.

Blair Witch Project. Start to finish. I HATE that movie. I came out of the theatre shaking so hard i couldn't drive. That scene where the kid is standing in the basement, staring at the wall? *shudders* And Poltergiest. Creeps me out all the time

One of the scariest movies to me involved sound not picture. In Play Misty for Me the villain in using scissors to cut the victim's hair and I can still hear the sound of the scissors today. Really scared me.
