*big assed fucking hugs*
That's not cool :(
I'm still wondering why she bothered to lock the car back up though - did she think you wouldn't notice your purse was missing if the doors were locked?

*Big assed hugs back.*

Considering she left my contact information in my purse - my theory about the locked doors is...stupidity. Or blond-ed-ness.

:( That really sucks. Wonder why she decided to go for that car, though. Crazy thief people...I hope in the process of being caught she is hit by a car or something..

I have no idea why the car.. All of the doors were locked, and she shouldn't have been able to see the purse, anyway. It's not like Sam has an expensive car. The thing isn't quite a hooptie, but it still wasn't the nicest car on the block.

I've had my car broken into around that same area. Damned tweakers. I hope the assholes get caught. (Can you get a picture/footage from the security camera? Could be an interesting thing to post, you know)?

That's a really, really good idea. I think I'll look into this. ^_^ Thanks! Mwahaha.. The wrath of LJ will be upon her!

I'm sorry all that happened, and no offense toward you, but that is the exact reason I don't cary a purse. I have my wallet and everything else I need is in my pockets - secured against my ass! (or hip as it may be)

If you file a police report, and they see the video of her getting the stuff, and then attempting to use your card, plus question the witnesses, I'm pretty sure there will be an arrest - maybe not right away, but I'm sure there will be. And who knows, maybe they'll recover a LOT of your stuff - just remember to include ALL of it in your report as to what is missing!

I couldn't agree more! I think wallets are much safer, especially when combined with a wallet chain. The only reason I didn't just leave with my wallet that night was pant-issues. (Typically when I know I don't want to haul around a purse, I just take the wallet.) I've gained weight (^_^), and the most comfortable pants I own have HORRIBLE female pockets that are ONLY up front and make it impossible to comfortably carry anything at all. ARGH!

Honestly, after this, I'm going to look into buying men's pants. I actually freaking STOOD THERE as I got out of the car at the start of the evening, considering taking my most important purse stuff and pocketing it - but rejected that because of my femmy pockets. Death to "female" jeans!

And my police report is really, really detailed. Bunches of things listed. I almost forgot to list the purse itself, though.. x_x;

yah, I don't own ANY female pants. I wear guys' worker's pants - or something along that title. It gives me happy deep pockets, big butt pockets, and the cell phone-sized outer thigh pockets that come in handy for leatherman/box cutter/pens/chopsticks and/or cell phone carryage. Then there's the always fun hammer loop on the other side ^_^ It carries hammers ^_^
