Aye, I called my mom right after I read this - she said it was centered only a few miles from where they are (Penngrove - right outside Petaluma). She said it was a pretty good one out there.

I thought it was funny that my son Jeremy and my brother Rob were playing "Wild Thing" on electric guitar out in the barn at his house only a few miles away...and they didn't feel it.
Ah, gotta love rock 'n roll.

If there's one thing you learn as a schoolchild in California, it's that "duck & cover" with protect you from ANYTHING. Earthquake? Fire? Bioterrorism? Nuclear strike? FEAR NOT! Duck & cover!

yeah, like in the 50's. My mother told me about the "duck & cover" from the cold war era.

where the crap did YOU go to school? ;-)

Independence High School, San Jose, California. We never had nuclear strike drills, but, you know. We COULD have. And if we had, we would have had to duck & cover.
