*rubs fingers together*

you know what this is?

it's the world's smallest violin playing "my heart bleeds for the afghani children"

that's the problem with fighting terrorism, is that they don't mind hiding behind civilians. So when a few kids die, the US looks like the big, bad bully.

No one said it would be pretty or easy, or that civilians wouldn't die, man. It's a big PR game, and by using kids as human shields, terrorists come out looking like victims and the US looks evil.

The PLO is also a master at using these kinds of tactics. By setting up their camps and bases in neighborhoods, they make Israel look like heartless bastards when they come rolling in with tanks. War is ugly, and using kids as sacrificial lambs is nothing new.

Besides, do you honestly think the US is going to launch a $10K-plus missle into a neighborhood just for the sake of being evil?

Last time I checked, anything goes in love and war. Course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong...

youre not supposed to blow up a building with children in it because you guess theres a bad guy in there. and its pretty stupid to think that you can fight a war against terrorism. from what i hear theres only 5 terrorists left! oh wait no there isnt, theres an unlimited number of them in the entire world, i guess we should just blow up every building and shoot everyone for the same of freedom. oh wait we cant do that either because it's impossible. if i'm ever president i should do the same thing, go on wild goose chases so no one notices what a huge idiot i am. hey let's re-envision the space program and land on the moon again!! see how i just changed the subject? id make a great president... except im too smart =(

absolutely right. There is no stopping terrorism because of the fact that there is no actual state to restrain them to. All the nuclear bombs in the world didn't stop 9/11 ( ... )

Just a quick followup to the original post:

Did you notice what the Army Major had to say about the attack?

At the time we initiated the attack, we did not know there were children nearby

Do you still think they would have shot a missle at a building, especially with as low as the public morale is in this country right now surrounding the war, if they knew it was full of kids?

Come on, man. Use a little logic here.

the point here isnt that they knew there were kids in there, it's that this "war" is nonsense and shouldn't be happening. hey while were at it lets start a war on jealousy. it makes equal sense.
