We discussed what might have caused it and I told him about my calories out (ie exercise) vs calories in (ie food). And this is what we discovered. I go to the gym 3-5 times a week. I mix it up with cardio and weights. However, I eat. And I eat. And I eat ( Read more... )

Looks like diets all round! You'll have to get Lee on one as well, it's hard when one person is on a diet and the other is scoffing... ;-)

Yes, especially given how prone we are to sabotage. "Yes, darling. I totally support your decision to diet. Now, I understand you're depressed about this, so I bought you some chocolate/wine/vanillia slice."

mmmm. Vanilla slice.

Seriously, however. I've decided not to make Lee diet with me anymore. If he doesn't want to lose weight, I can't make him. What I will be doing, however, is taking all his cards and only buying healthy food for the house.

Just as long as you are doing a healthy diet, not a fad one. Starving yourself won't work as that will just increase food obsession and tendency to slip. Choose healthy meals, balanced, and yes reduce portion size, but not overly so.

So's mine.

Nice guy, my doctor.

Lynn, have you had your bras properly fitted? I'm a big girl too, bigger than you(not in a good way), and I used to have terrible pain in my neck and shoulders. IT was my female chiropractor who worked out that my bras were inadequate to the load I was carrying. She insisted that I go and gett properly fitted and buy good bras. She was right. So maybe that's one one way to give you some relief.
