You know what really sucks? Casual homophobia at your place of work.

Thankfully my team is almost 100% supportive and lovely with regards to my sexuality and LGBT issues in general. I've only ever once had an someone say something, without realising how incredibly offensive it was to me, and it was an accident.

I'm sorry that you had to deal with that. Little things are important, especially if they happen all the time, and because they're little things they're harder to challenge, and when you do you get accused of not having a sense of humour. Bah.
