Thanks! I didn't do much, other than mildly pursue her to call 911, but she really did need to do that. I mean, I guess she could have gone by cab, but whatever.

Why shouldn't she drink water? Is it a "what if I need emergency surgery" thing?

Yeah, exactly. She was basically pointing straight at her appendix and saying it hurt. Turns out it was a kidney infection, though. Like you! She was totally in denial about how sick she was.

Ugh. I don't wish that on anyone. (Though in my case, the high fever hurt much worse than the abdominal pain did.)
