I went to my first onsen today and I must say, it felt really good. If you don't know anything about them, onsen are basically hot springs. But, they're very popular in Japan since it has many natural hot springs. I'm updating from the boonies of Japan - Daito-cho, Shimane-Ken. It's pretty cool here. The people are quite a bit different from those you find in Tokyo. Well, at least my host-family here seems a lot different. For one thing, they don't say "ittadakimasu" before their meals. I mentioned to my host-mother today that I thought I'd like to buy some warmer clothes because my winter clothes haven't arrived yet...and so she gives me a cashmere sweater! Heh heh.
