I went to Akihabara today, which is pretty much the number one place to go in the world for anything electronic. That and porn. It seemed like every store had multiple levels and the top few floors were all full of overpriced porn (didn't see any tentacle porn, sorry guys). We're talking like $50 for a dvd. You know what's cool about having a Japanese IP address? Getting pop-ups in Japanese!

Today I had my first experience with morning rush hour subway traffic. I was going from the station near my home in Itabashi to Ikebukuro-eki...anything going to Ikebukuro is usually quite full or so I thought. I suppose I'll update now. I've just moved in with my host family here in Tokyo. After ten days of orientation or, as I and the rest of the students came to find out, an intensive 10 days of Japanese review, I'm glad to finally be here. Nearly 20gb left on my ipod. What should I be listening to?

Through another harddrive failure and somewhat successful recovery, I've found out that I have Smashing Pumpkins's last album, which is NOT Machina/the machines of god.
