I feel you. This is somewhat our situation at the moment as well. People do become oddly scarce when the real work starts. Hope we can come out of this predicament with our sanity intact.

Gosh that sounds so stressful. I'm glad you made it through to the other side. It's good that you're at peace with it now.

I can't relate to being attached to a house. By the time I started high school, I'd been to six different schools in four different states. Houses never really held much significance to me.

I love my home but know that there might be a day when I might not be able to stay here for whatever reason. I hope I am more realistic than my mother was. It made things so much more difficult than it had to be. Thanks so much for reading.

I emphasize with you a lot on this! When my grandmother passed away, my sister and I had to deal with all her belongings and assets (my mom had passed away a few years before and we were her only grandchildren) and it was just so hard. So I completely relate. I'm glad you were able to get it done and move on from that!
