Congratulations on your retirement. I hope you take some time for yourself. As someone who currently works with marginalized folk, I understand where you're coming from. Thanks for all that you've done and may you have a well deserved break.
Thanks! I'll definitely take some time to just clear my head and let things fall as they may. There are some things int he works for the summer but they are up in the air right now. But not having the stress of work will be liberating!
I'm happy to be retiring. I'm not happy leaving things the way they are at my agency. But I have to do things for me and let the other crap go. I've given 7 months notice which is more than adequate but nothing has been done to fill my position or make the department function when I'm gone. But it will be what it will be. I'm a person who likes things in order and have processes in place but obviously the powers that be don't care. But this is human services oftentimes. They fly by the seat of their pants and stuff falls through the cracks. But after March 31 not my problem! Thanks for reading and your comment!
I am so glad there are people like you out in the world. Thank you for all your work. I love the "passing the baton" attitude. I hope you enjoy the next chapter, and find some much needed rest.
Thanks so much! I'm sure I'll enjoy life after the crazy that is my job. It'll be nice to do things that I want to do, not that I have to do. Take care!
