State of the Medical Student
Popping up for air, here. I just finished up my elective rotation in Psychiatry, and got a good eval/some nice comments about my chances of gaining residency at this program, which is encouraging. I wouldn't want to make this my first choice or anything because I'm pretty gung-ho about getting out of NYC, but it's comforting to know that I make an ( Read more... ) -

I Was Lost
Today is a workday: I've got to make sure I'm ok for the Shelf exam in OB/GYN this Saturday. I've got my super headphones on and I've downloaded some sort of Mass Effect remix track. I've got to be the only weirdo who listens to techno club music while I'm studying. Really tempted to rig up some kind of light display to echo the track, but that'd ( Read more... ) -

Today, I called in. I spent the day recovering/sleeping and then cleaning up a little. I should probably feel worse about it, but I don't.
Still haven't seen the Rains of Castamere. Just got an invitation from a friend to go watch it on Monday night along with the finale: I think I'll go and hopefully minimize the shock a bit. :-)

Hello from 24Call!
So I'm on again tonight. Today was a pretty crazy day, clinic went late and we had a lot of running around and paperwork to do. My colleagues were exhausted and drooping by 8pm, when they finally got to leave after their 14 hour day. I waved goodbye from the clinic doorway.
