"no one is going to give me their number in Borders, no one is going to sit by me in the movie theatre and profess their undying love-at-first-sight, no one is going to see me buying groceries and mysteriously follow me around the store and pretend to be buying the same stuff that i am - just to be near me..."

if anybody ever did any of those things to me i'd probably just get freaked out and run away, but thats just me. haha

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <333

Hey Rachel, this is Beau. I hope all is going well. This Interesting post...your yearning for a real life love story took me aback a bit. While many of those scenarios are the way it works in movies, in real life- some of them (grocery store) are borderline stalkerish. Do girls want guys to approach them in the book store and other run of the mill daily places? Maybe it varies...on a girl to girl basis. I don't know...you tell me.

hey beau - you've got it exactly: none of the scenarios that work in the movies work in real life. that's why trusting the media/pop culture is misleading because i (as a "chick") am lead to believe that the "perfect love story" would entail falling in love at first sight with the checkout guy at the grocery store. so, the short answer is no, i don't expect/want people to approach me in ordinary places - but the part of me that thinks i am or should be in a movie does.
