The sheet of sweat on the muscled chest in front of him pooled into a drop. Yannis watched the drop swell until it began to slide downward under it's own weight. It followed the path made by the gully where the muscles of his midsection dipped into a mid-line. The drop slowed as it came up on the hairline that filled the lower part of the grove. Yannis held his breath as the drop disappeared, into the hole formed by Jacobus' belly-button.LOL belly-button! Snork. This is one instance where I'd definitely use "navel ( ... )

It was the kind Commander - That had set Yannis free from his former life as a slave. Apparently he might be Jacobus' real father. But that was two chapters ago. I think you missed the last update - Chapter for on chamilet's journal - added links in the begining of this chapter for easier tracking. Hope it helps.

I am so happy for the new chapter and glad you are back. I sent PM and I was starting to worry that RL was treating you very badly!

I loved this chapter, we learn more thing about the guys, Jacobus expecially, and it was worthy the long wait.

I like the names they chose only for themselves ;)

A long time passed but Jack and Jacobus have the same unhappy childhood. I am glad you are back with this amazing story. Thank you for sharing. Martha

Yeah - both men have their demons, don't they? I kinda reversed roles - In the OS it was Ennis traumatized by what he'd witnessed done to others. Here it is Jack. Different context of course, reflecting the local culture. Glad you like the story.

Thanks for the analogy, it translates my thinking working on the chapter. As usual, you always 'get me'.

Hi Hluv,

I am glad to see you like the tension. It's fun writing, because Ennis and Jack are actually two different people (two writers) so we get into the tension thing real well.
