[Fic] Torn love of the painted kimono (2/?)
“Fighting in the library? ARE YOU MAD!” scolded the professor. “Libraries are for reading and studying not a ring match!”
“HE started it first!” Kazuya pointed the guy next to him. Jin gasped from the blame and he too began pointing fingers at him.
“What the… HE did it first!!!!”
“NO! You did it!”
“NO! YOU DID!”
“ENOUGH!” shouted the professor. “As your punishment, I need both of you pair up together and complete an assignment for me by end of this week! Understand!”
“WHAT!” they shouted.
“I want both of you to do an assignment and research about Kimonos!” said the professor.
“But, we knew the history of kimonos and you wanted us to research it!” Jin just nodded at Kazuya’s prospect, since he really doesn’t want to work with the boy.
“No buts!” the professor retorted. “Why don’t I give you easy ones? As I said working in pairs and I’ll give you guys 75% credit each on that assignment! So?”
Kazuya couldn’t do anything since it was seventy-five percent of credit and he really needs it, since he failed one module badly. Same goes as Jin he really need the credit even disagreeing working in pairs with the boy but getting extra credit does worth the job.
“I want both of you dig up the story of Takeshi and Miyoko. Rumor said both of them are the Japan’s Romeo and Juliet.”
“Takeshi and Miyoko? I haven’t heard of it?” Jin frowned.
“That’s because the story is unknown to us and it happen long time ago I mean long time before Edo period.” said the professor.
“But… didn’t you said we’re working on kimonos? Why change the subject?” Kazuya stated.
“True!”
“Then? What do you want us to do?”
“Like I said dig up the story of Takeshi and Miyoko included with their death, and their family background. So… I’ll be waiting for your proposal then! Now you may leave!”
Both man bowed to the professor as they leave the office. Both men walk out in silence no complains and bickerings. But Kazuya could hold his hatred towards the older guy.
“I hate you!” Kazuya grumbled.
“Well… just endure it! Because, I’m enduring it!”
Kazuya took his bag purposely swag his bag to his shoulder hit the man’s arm and walk away.
“HEY!”
“What! Do you think I’m doing this with you? I’m doing this because of the extra credit!”
“Do you think you’re the only one?” he retorted. “I too need those credits!!!” Kazuya sighed. He didn’t think he was doing this but for the extra credit sakes he has to work with the man alone. As he said just enduring and he try to work on that. Both of them were desperate and they really need it. Kazuya gives in at last, but he continues keeping his serious face.
“Fine! Since we both need those extra credit badly? I guess we have to work together?”
“It’s weird?” Jin told him.
“Weird as?”
“You are really too easy to give in aren’t you?”
“NO!” he protested but Kazuya easily gives up when he don’t have any choice.
“About the assignment? Working together? I’m fine with it! Now what about you?”
“Since professor is doing this to us! I’ve to do it or I won’t get the credit!” he shrugged.
“Okay!!! So, we agree now? Of doing this together?” Jin asked crossing his arm while walking through the corridors.
“Agree!”
“One thing though!” Jin asked as he stop his step turning to the boy.
“What is it?”
“Where are we going to research those Romeo & Juliet? Can’t we use Wikipedia instead?” Jin was being Jin. Projects wasn’t his things but getting extra credit for a punishment it was one of the best punishment of all but only that he stuck with the pretty boy he would reject as a project partner.
“No, we can’t! The professor would think us cheating. We have to dig the stories and I know where the perfect place to go.” Kazuya gave a genuine smile. Jin couldn’t help but to mesmerized that smile. It was a perfect smile that he had seen. Just perfect. Jin quickly snapped out from his daze and asked “Where?”
“Kyoto! We need to go to Kyoto!”
“All of other places why Kyoto?”
“My dad told me that Kyoto is full of legends and history. Even for kimonos and warriors. And maybe we get the chance of finding the mystery case of Takeshi and Miyoko?”
“You really look smart person! Did you fail a module that you need this credit?” Jin asked out of the blue. Kazuya gave a half-hearted laughed. “You got me! Yes! I’m one of the top students. But something so sudden came to me and I couldn’t turn up for the exam.”
“Why is that?” Jin asked as the walk side by side to the cafeteria.
“I fainted and got admitted to the hospital.”
“OH!”
“So? What about you? Mr. Jin Akanishi.” Kazuya remembered the name and felt like teasing the guy for a while.
“I hate projects! Not too interested with school.”
“And why did you went to the library when you not interested with school?” Kazuya asked as he seated opposite to the man.
“I skip some classes and thought of killing time in the library.” he shrugged. “And I can’t believe myself that I was caught a fight with you!” Jin chuckled by the stupid fight by getting hit by a book. “You hit me hard!”
“I’m sorry about that!”
“It’s okay! Just don’t do that again!”
“Got it!” Kazuya chuckled at the man antics. He was kinda cute and he it really stand out in the crowds. Because of his looks and popularity Kazuya could sense the aura. But in those soft child-like eyes, he could see how caring he was rather than a massive playboy. Yet, he felt so familiar with those soft eyes. Warm yet, soft like a dim light, loving yet caring. Jin has a handsome face yet have a hint of a sexy feature. Kazuya throw away those dirty thoughts away but still he can’t denied that the man really look gorgeously handsome.
“Since you know my name what’s yours?” Kazuya hesitate for a moment as he utter one by one. Jin couldn’t help but to mesmerized the boy’s features. He was right he is one damn pretty boy. Curved brows, soft eyes, from far the skin look rough but up close it look so smooth and soft. And those lips were just so tempting to be kissed. Even with those eye bags he still look beautiful.
“Kamenashi… Kazuya… Yoroshiku!”
