did you try re downloading the video?
also. what format is the video?
mp4 and avi are preferable, but you can get perian plugin for quicktime for free which allows you to use any format

Thanks for your great tutorial :) It worked out perfectly for me.

I just got one question. You were previously talking about a perian? plugin in order to play ALL formats, however, it's a program for MAC only. Do you know a similiar plugin for Windows? :) Somehow Divx codec doesn't work for me... it's still black.

Thanks again.

I have aquestion. When I'm exporting it tells me that: -50 error has ocurred. What does that mean?

is the video file something other than an MP4? If so, make sure you open it with quicktime. If you just click it, Perian will open it under the pretense of Quicktime and then it screws up the export. Perian is only there to help with codecs, so rightclick the video and make sure you open it with quicktime. Or open quicktime and go to FILE--->Open--->video that you wanna gif

If not, I really have no idea why it would do that. Maybe check to see if the video itself is corrupted?

I use a Mac which I think makes it so PC's equivilent is either ctrl or alt
I'm sorry
Another way to get videos is jdownloader. It's a free program that lets you download things fast. So basically you open jdownloader and the copy the URL of the video. You choose how you wanna save it and then it'll download. (^_^)
