Ennis doesn't think he's gay, but he's kissed a guy, gotten a blow job from a guy and would do the same with Jack. Ennis really is in denial. I get that he doesn't want to mess up his friendship with Jack, so when Jack decides to experiment with other men, then Ennis shouldn't be bothered at all.

I really like the boys of this story,they are so close and totally comfortable with each other,I also like the way you are writing Ennis. He is a cool,modern and open minded guy who has nothing against homosexuality but he is still the same Ennis who considers his gay experiences as a one shot thing. Jack,as always, is the one who wants to take things further and Ennis is the cautious one. I hope the don't end up with a broken heart (either of them) :(

I like the different dynamics you have working in this story. I can see where Ennis is coming from b/c once sex enters the equation everything does change in a relationship. But I'm glad things are out in the open now, at least. Both these boys are so endearing :) I wonder what will happen to make Ennis realize that he can have it all - the friendship and the romance. Nice job. Thanks!

Yes, he is right that sex changes things. What he doesn't realize is that it's too late to decide not to change anything between them. It's already happened.

He will begin to understand that and then, he'll have to decide how to handle it.

Ennis not being gay could be a horrible disaster for Jack !! Probably that's why Ennis tries to be fair and not destroy his most precious and valuable relationship - that was very nice of him.... considering ! But we all hope he IS gay, or at least that he loves Jack much more than him being his best friend, and wont be comfortable with Jack being with somebody else !..... Or at least I hope so...
