john does seem like a very good friend, but i can't imagine him being much more. they seem too much alike, almost like brothers - nothing like lovers. i'm so glad he has a friend, tho. i know he's glad to have someone to talk to. that can only be good.

What Jack feels for John doesn't even compare to what he is realizing he feels for Ennis. Like you said, though, Jack needs someone other than Ennis to talk to and John will be a great friend.

Such a perfect date!. John seems like a nice person, very open and sensitive. Jack is being sensible about not wanting to rush into any relationship yet. Very curious to know what John thinks about Jack, though.

John likes him and is disappointed that he won't get to pursue the relationship. Who ever likes getting the "friend" speech?

But he may think that if he hangs around long enough, he'll be able to wait out this crush on Ennis and be there when Jack is over it. Poor thing, 'cause that will never happen!
